Soldiers and mercenaries rode toward Omar and Sygnosis with their swords aloft. But to

their shock and awe GoGo and her warriors appeared from the desert and rained down on them

like phantoms from the darkness. The Moroccans’ horses reared up in surprise as the forces

clashed. Daka shot several soldiers from horseback with his arrows. Sooth wielded two swords in

the Babylonian battle technique and had no need to hold the reins of his mount. He skillfully

sliced several soldiers who hit the ground missing hands and arms. They screamed and writhed,

               bloody in the sand.

Zuba, Cane, Raki, and the royal guard slammed into the Moroccans and cut them down.

As Omar fought and blood sprayed, his eyes rolled and his fangs extended. Several Moroccans

witnessed his transformation and cowered in terror. Sygnosis leaped onto a soldier and bit him

deeply. He tumbled from his mount into the sand. Another Moroccan ran up behind her and thrust

               his blade into her back.

                       “Witch of Jahannam!”

Sygnosis turned toward him and did not fall to his blade. In shock, he relentlessly slammed

his sword down but she blocked every strike. Suddenly, the fallen soldier that Sygnosis bit rose

up from the ground. His eyes were vampiric. He screeched like a banshee exposing his new fangs.

                       “Protect your master!” Sygnosis shouted.

Her new slave attacked the Moroccan soldier.

                       “Enthrall him!” said Sygnosis.

The soldier turned and ran but the vampire slave leaped onto his back, dragged him to the

sand and bit his neck as the soldier screamed. Another Moroccan soldier crept stealthily toward

Sygnosis. In the cacophony of battle she did not hear him coming. He aimed for her neck and

swung his sword. GoGo appeared from the darkness, leaned out from her horse and beheaded him

before his blade struck the fatal blow. She reached out for Sygnosis, they clasped hands and GoGo
