“Daka, help her,” said GoGo.

Daka hesitated.

Daka reluctantly obeyed and lifted Sygnosis into his arms as Sooth covered Omar’s eyes

tightly with his hand.

“What are you doing?” said GoGo.

“We must remove Sygnosis quickly. Omar must not see her for a full day and night as he

awakens into vampirism. New Azulites imprint their makers. If the prince sees her, he will become

her thrall.

“Daka, take her to my bed.”

Daka looked at GoGo, his eyes filled with trepidation. He stalled.

“Daka! My soldier, follow my command.”

Daka quickly took her from the room. GoGo turned her full attention to Omar. Azulin

dripped down his cheek as he opened his eyes. They were golden brindle and vampiric. They
